Joey Damien Sexton

Guitar, Vocals, Songwriting

Joey started his musical career at four when he begged his Mom Patty for a drum kit. She finally relented and bought the kit. After that it was all downhill for any peace in the house, but Joey was now on a mission. He formed his first band, “Cosmic Stardust” in grammar school and it continued into his High School Years. At around 16 years old Joey decided to learn guitar and at 18 acquired his first “real” guitar, a left handed Led Paul which he holds left handed but strung it as if it were right handed.

In 1984 Joey suffered a tragic motorcycle accident that left him paralyzed and wheelchair-bound for life. Never to be sidelined from the things he enjoys Joey modified a Harley Davidson with a sidecar and continues to ride to this day. However, unable to play drums anymore, his main focus became the guitar. Joey has been playing clubs as a solo performer as well as fronting several band projects as a lead guitarist, singer and songwriter.

Joey began recording his original music in 1992 and release his first serious demo: “Joey Sexton – 3 Weeks”. Currently he is fronting his latest project; “The Joey Sexton Band”, who label their style of music as combination of adult alternative rock / hick rock and pure American rock & roll. The “Band” plans on hitting the road in early Spring 2010 as a trio to support their new 10 song CD; “Joey Sexton – Games” which will be released on March 15th 2010.
